Chemistry That Doesn’t Need Tutoring

Davis Maternity Session

Hanging out with Aaron and PJ immediately feels like home to me. I'm not surprised since PJ reminds me a lot of my sister with her bubbly personality and because of Aaron's PhD. Hanging out with them feels like I've known them forever.

PJ and Aaron radiate warmth and kindness and have the most infectious laughs and even bigger hearts. It only takes a few minutes to see they're truly best friends and belong side by side, doing life together.

I fell in love with PJ before I met her - when I was an admin, I had photos of all associates on my computer. PJ stood out to me the most because hers was the most joyful and energetic compared to everyone else. So, when I found out she was pregnant, I knew I had to get her in front of my camera. When I finally met Aaron, I knew she had picked a good one. They told me the cutest story of the meeting because PJ needed a chemistry tutor. I joked, wait, the chemistry between you guys does not need tutoring.

Aaron has recently graduated from UC Davis with his PhD in Chemistry, and PJ has been staying at home with Freyja. I've had the pleasure of getting to know them more closely this year, all because of a (short-lived) romance I had on my own. I learned how hardworking, selfless, and full of love their whole family is. It doesn't take a house to make a home; it's the love inside of it. Freyja entering the picture has been such a breath of fresh air for everyone who meets her and has immediately become the heart of their home.

So, when PJ told me she was pregnant for a second time, I knew how big of a deal it was for her and her family. And now, especially knowing that this baby's name belongs to Aaron's dad, Jack.

PJ and Aaron, thank you so much for trusting me to be your photographer and letting me into your home to get to know you and your family more (even if it was short-lived). I truly loved EVERY minute with you two (seriously, if I could clone you, I would), and I cannot WAIT to meet Jack! I hope you'll love these photos of your maternity session as much as I loved creating them. Please stay in touch!
